Dust and Decay

Dust and Decay (Very Addicting)
By Jonathan Maberry
Benny Imura, Tom Imura, Nix, Chong, and Lilah have been training for about six months now for their plan to leave Mountainside to go on Their life out in the ruin in search for the plane they saw pass over them to discover if the plane leads to any nearby salvation.
In this story they have to survive out in the wild and of the land, and to add more pressure there are zombies, bounty hunters and very bad people out there in the ruin to keep them on their toes as they live in the dark depths of the forest.
  • "okay, my young Jedi . . . time to train." tom said as every one jumped up, but as the headed outside, Morgie nudged Chong in the ribs."What's a Jedi?"
  • "People here are just dumb" Benny said, "not dumb they are just living in fear" Tom Replied
The book is set in the future, but because of all the events with the zombies, the town has set back in time and stopped the use of all electronics cars. They live in fear and blame all the new technology for what has happened to world. This is why all the kids in the town do not know what movie references like "Jedi" mean. They do not even know what a microwave is! This makes me think about if something in the world would happen I believe that the world will just seclude itself away like nothing happened and go into a deep depression and the thought of this fear will move everyone back into a devolve world.

  1. This book is great. I've only gotten to chapter 21 so far because of the wait but It's been great. I just finished the part where they were being chased by a white rhino and then Nix tripped and Benny followed. When Benny looked up he saw a zombies eyes and was almost bitten until Nix pulled him away just as the zombie bit where his cheek would have been. Great post Brandon. I hope you don't feel lonely now.

  3. I don't think I could ever get into this book, because zombies don't interest me. But, with the information you have provided I think you could get someone more interested in zombies to read this book!
    Love you Cuzzo.
